B1)  "Vicarious Traumatization, Transference and Countertransference Dynamics Characteristic of Psychologically Traumatized Children/Adolescents:  Implication in Clinical Practice"  by Francis Pescosolido, Ph.D., M.P.H.
This workshop is intended to provide a trauma-based theoretical framework that CMHPs are normally at risk to experience, both as practitioners and as individuals. It will highlight the integration between well established clinical literature and the pragmatics of providing clinical/psychotherapeutic services to this most challenging youth population.
 
B2)  "ACCESS DENIED: What Cyber Bullying is Doing to Our Kids"  by Elda Dawber, LICSW
In this workshop we will review the ways children have and can be hurt by internet use, what the consequences of internet misuse can be, how to recognize signs a child is in distress and how to respond to and report the problem.
 
B3)  "A Model Approach to Working with Non-Offending Parents"  by: Melissa Santoro, LICSW & Kimberly LaFountain, LHMC
This workshop will focus on how service providers can support non-offending parents by providing practical strategies to educate these caretakers and practical information to better support children affected by sexual abuse.
 
B4)  "What Your Clients -- and YOU -- Need to Know About Victim Compensation in RI" by: Judith Farley, Esq.
This workshop will provide information on the financial compensation available to victims of crime such as medical and counseling expenses, loss of earnings as well compensation for families of homicide victims.   
 
B5)  "Children's Advocacy Centers: A Multi-Disciplinary Intervention to Child Sexual Abuse"  by Laura Pisaturo, Providence, RI
The CAC is a child-focused program made up of a Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT) of professionals from child protection, prosecution, mental health, medical, police, and victim advocacy. The MDT reviews child abuse cases, provides case management, advocacy, and forensic interviewing, and works as a team to coordinate a response to stop the abuse. Learn about referral and intervention protocols of the CAC best practices model.
